The summer season kicks off with a little Latin-inflected, rock n’ roll on Independence Day as three sizzling acts take to the stage: Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys and Alejandro Escovedo. Los Lobos – comprised of four East L.A. friends plus a saxophonist/keyboardist who came on board in the early ’80s – is still that authentic, smokin’ hot wolf pack of its early days. While pushing musical boundaries and resisting the siren call of commercial whims, the band has earned a fistful of Grammys and a chart-topping hit (a 1987 remake of Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba”). Unplugged or not, the quintet dips into a vast ocean of genres – folkloric, blues, ...

“Part overgrown kid, part artistic maverick – and seldom, if ever predictable…” (The Chicago Tribune), Bruce Hornsby brings lyrical, laidback charm and extraordinary musicianship to the stage. Despite his breezy demeanor, the Grammy winner writes songs with depth. And though Hornsby’s solo career has included a slew of hits – “The Way It Is” and “Mandolin Rain” for starters – he also plays well with others, most notably as the ’90s piano man for The Grateful Dead. Rockin’ acoustic-roots-Americana band, Railroad Earth, teams up with Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers for the “Noise of the Earth Tour.” Show Details & Tickets: Monday, July 15, 2013 Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Amphitheater Gates open ...

The August 4 concert grew out of two profound, musical films that rocked Sundance Film Festival this past January. The faces and voices from “Twenty Feet from Stardom” and “Muscle Shoals” lend their rich, melodic stories to a groundbreaking, live concert. Named for the little Alabama town that drew some of rock and R&B’s biggest names (Aretha Franklin, Dylan, the Stones) to its recording studio and produced decades of hit tunes, such as “Wild Horses” and “Mustang Sally,” Muscle Shoals Live brings the “Singing River” to the mountains. The concert includes artists, such as Harvey Thompson of the Muscle Shoals Horns, Angela Primm of Still Waters, jazz musician and vocalist ...

Four-time Grammy winner, Lyle Lovett (and His Large Band) makes an encore appearance in the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights line-up on August 17. Known for his trademark yearning vocal ache, classy wit and remarkable talent, Lovett delivers a country-folk-rock performance steeped in down-home showmanship. This “Cowboy Man” has hits aplenty, spanning 14 albums and as many musical genres. And he and his live band never disappoint. According to Esquire, Lovett is “the real deal… a man who not only delivers your money’s worth but who you suspect would be genuinely ashamed if he didn’t.” Show Details & Tickets: Saturday, August 17, 2013 Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Amphitheater Gates open at ...

Jewel performs August 24 with – as her name would suggest – rare beauty. The fearless and stunning singer-songwriter who launched into stardom as the 21 year-old with the hit tune, “Who Will Save Your Soul,” is all grown up – and still as sparkling as ever. Since her smashing pop-folk debut, the now 38 year-old has crossed into country, children’s music and even acting (she’s slated to star as June Carter Cash in Lifetime film “Ring of Fire”). A natural entertainer, she comes to the stage with guitar, poetry, a pure – sometimes haunting – voice and a delightful sense of humor. And as The New York Times put ...

Wrapping up the summer season with R&B-tinged pop that rocks, OneRepublic brings “All the Right Moves” to the coolest of right places. With talent that goes beyond their Top 40 song, this Colorado-based band, has grown from Rolling Stone’s “Artists to Watch” list to legitimate rock stars. OneRepublic front man, Ryan Tedder, has written chart-topping songs for Beyoncé (“Halo”), Kelly Clarkson (“Already Gone”), and Leona Lewis (“Bleeding Love”), but it’s his group’s multi-platinum single “Apologize” that garnered the “most popular download in American history” distinction. Joining OneRepublic for the August 31 show are Sara Bareilles and folk rockers Churchill. Show Details & Tickets: Saturday, August 31, 2013 Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park ...
