Since Park City Performing Arts Foundation’s inception, access to the arts for students and the community has been an integral part of our mission.
Committed to outreach across socio-economic boundaries, the organization has funded and coordinated free Student and Community Outreach programs throughout Summit and Wasatch Counties.
Bill Cosby kicked off the first outreach event in 1998 – a student performance that outshined the grand opening of The Eccles Center that evening. Ever since, renowned musicians, dancers, authors, filmmakers and culturally diverse artists have brought world-class workshops, master classes and performances into local classrooms, auditoriums, community stages and senior centers. PCPAF has consistently created an eclectic and stunning array of outreach experiences for approximately 10,000 students annually. The organization also offers an After-School Technical Theater Program, which combines hands-on experience with invaluable learning opportunities for high school students interested in lights, sound and stage management.
In addition to working with school children and educators, PCPAF also believes the arts should be accessible to all members of our community – thus creating outreach experiences for an array of organizations committed to serving the underserved.
